Come?
E pensare che siamo solo all'inizio.!
Voilà, adesso ronfo che sono cotta: "If you feel ill, if you’re getting a cold or flu, we can assure that in Lisbon there is a place where every kind of illness can be treated...Where? We suggest to have a unique dinner at the “Pharmacia” and immediately you will feel better! Ok, we were joking, but today we want to suggest a unique restaurant which could be defined a real “treatment” for your eyes and your taste. In fact, this post doesn’t deal with pills and drugs, on the contrary it is dedicated to the great petiscos (the Portuguese version of the Spanish tapas) and the unique cocktails of the restaurant situated inside the “Museau da Farmacia” in Lisbona (Rua MArechal Saldanha, 1). The restaurant is called Pharmacia and the reason is not only its particular location, but also the fact that it perfectly reflects the structure and the furnishings of a real chemist’s. You won’t find the usual tables, chairs and counters, but medical armchairs, stills, other tools and furniture full of pills and drugs. And all the restaurant concept is based on the idea of a chemist’s shop. You can imagine our surprise when, after taking our sit outside - in the garden with a wonderful view on the Miradouro de Santa Catarina- we’ve been welcomed by a nice waitress dressed with a white coat. But the surprises had just started! In fact, at Pharmacia, they serve water in a container for saline solution, all the cocktails are called as they were drugs and each one has its specific benefits, while when they take the bill, it is contained in a test tube! As far as the menu is concerned, here it will be more likely a prescription pad. And for the food, they always suggest to share many different dishes so that you can try different things. It is the idea at the base of the restaurant and you will agree as soon as you’ll have a look at the great variety of petiscos that they offer. So the perfect solution is to taste a bit of everything and to share with your friends: for example if you’re two, the perfect solution will be to share 3 different dishes. And everything is so good that you will probably ask for something else! If you also think that the presentation of the dishes is an important aspect, here it’s really worthy: everything is presented in an original and unique way! When we were there, we tasted salted codfish croquettes, sweet potato, cheese and smoked salmon meatballs and sautéed potatoes served in a mini pan. Of course, if you choose a seat in the garden you cannot expect a complete dinner, but if your intention is the idea of “petiscar” (a Portuguese verb that means: going in typical places where you can taste a bit of everything of the typical Portuguese cuisine, with your friends), here you will be satisfied! While if you prefer to have a complete dinner, you just need to book a table and you will have a great personalized dinner. You just need to inform your personal “chemist” about your tastes and the “doctors” in the kitchen will prepare the dishes that best suit you. Finally, if we haven’t convinced you yet, we can assure that prices and quality are really unbeatable. So if, after a long day walking in the Portuguese capital, you will need a “restorative treatment”, this is the perfect place for you!"
