Noi vi abbiamo avvertiti, ora sta a voi decidere. Enjoy!
Today we would like to show you Radlager, a nice bike shop not far from Wien’s city centre (Operngasse, 28). Now we are sure that all bike lovers are already on the lookout for a new possible purchase, while the rest of our readers is wondering if there could be something special in a bike shop … But sometimes appearances could be deceiving and this is exactly the case. In fact, Radlager is not only a bike shop like many others, it is much more than this! We strongly suggest to enter and have a look at it! But in the meanwhile, we can reveal you something… In these last years there is a new trend called hybrid cafés, which are bars where you can both have something to drink and do something else like reading, listening to music or buying books, clothes or -and this is the case- bikes. Radlager was the first “bike café” opened in the Austrian capital a few years ago. And from this moment on, it was a real success! Everyday many people meet there: from students to bike lovers, but also curious people attracted by the vintage and hipster style of the place, who decide to have a break on the way. This is exactly what happened to us during our weekend in Wien. And it was really a good choice! In fact, while entering there, you will immediately fall in love with it and its lively, innovative and cosy atmosphere. With all the old racing bikes (many of them coming from Italy) hung on the walls or exposed in the main room as they were sculptures on exhibit, the Radlager is the perfect place to have a break after a ride or to have a beer with friends while waiting for your bike inspection (in fact, they also sell and fix bikes). That’s why we strongly suggest this cool place, for both bike lovers and curious tourists! And here is a special tip, just for our readers: don’t forget to taste their great Pastrami sandwich, one of the best in the Austrian capital, together with one of their cocktails, whose names are inspired to the greatest names of the history of cycling. So now, it’s your turn to enjoy the great Radlager while in Wien!
