As we already told you, San Salvario is the right place to have a great happy hour in Turin. In this post we would like to talk about one of the best cafés of the quarter, a nice suggestion if you’re a beginner in Turin’s nightlife. We’re talking about the Diwan Café, hidden in via Baretti at n° 15 -a colored and lively street- at the corner with via Sant’Anselmo. This cozy and lively place is always crowded, especially during the weekend, that’s why we always suggest to book a table. The atmosphere of the place perfectly reflects the style of the quarter: lively, young and colored; so if you’re looking for a place where you could drink a good cocktail, surrounded by young people and with good background music, the Diwan is the place to be. And if you’re already thinking to classic cocktails, we want to astonish you: here the cocktails are all but conventional; you will have so many yummy and innovative proposals that you won’t be able to choose. Moreover, the prices are really cheap and the staff is young, kind and skilled in the barman art. All the evenings, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. you will find a great happy hour with a rich buffet at only 7€! But you can find much more than that at the Diwan: from May and during all the summer, at the Diwan you will find many different events that you cannot miss. Every Monday and Wednesday you will find the electro-pop evening with live dj-set, while on Tuesday -every two weeks- the Diwan becomes an exhibition centre with photographic exhibitions and artistic performances of young local talents. Finally, every Sunday the Diwan proposes a great brunch in a perfect American style, with a lot of different dishes at a cheap price. We haven’t tried it but… we’ve heard that it’s worth a try. And we would be delighted to hear your advice. Finally, if you want to be always updated with what’s going on at the Diwan, have a look at their facebook page and put a like!
