Today we want to suggest something different from the usual clothes, accessories and design shops we’ve talken about until today; in this post, our unconventional travel guide deals with a charming city like St. Petersburg, the home of great writers and the setting of many great novels, and one of the oldest and most beautiful bookshops of the Russian city. It’s the wonderful “Dom Knigi”, also known as the “House of Books”, situated in the city centre, at the corner of the Griboyedov Canal, right in the middle of the Nevsky Prospekt, one of the main streets of the city. This bookshop is situated in one of the most beautiful buildings of the city, the Singer Company Building, a perfect example of the Art Nouveau style.
